Leaving my impression - This performance was inspired by archival leaf prints that I studied at the Library Company of Philadelphia, taken by John Brientnall, an associate of Benjamin Franklin. To memorialize Brientnall's effort in cataloguing foliage, I reversed his process in order to leave an impression of myself within nature. Red was chosen to signify the internal color of our bodies and the organic mammalian flow within all of us; just as Brientnall utilized green watercolors to represent different varieties of foliage.
