Starman’s Earthly Experiment in Environmental Decay and Thermodynamics:

This confrontational installation examines present day ubiquity of the offspring of industrialization. Vehicles that were once perceived as luxury modes of transportation have reverted back to the value of their raw material by which each component is derivative. The thriving organic and plant-based material is an indirect positive outlook of the dialogue by which surrounds this topic of conversation. Within each container, there is a struggle of survival, one thing must be sacrificed so that the other may survive and perform its given function.

If these vehicles were started, the gases emitted by the combustion of their engines would undoubtedly destroy the ecosystems within. However, humankind’s majority apathetic stance on the direct effects from harmful emissions continues to trump large-scale change or heavier utilization of public transit, ride sharing, or human powered vehicles in efforts to contain our rapidly growing population and carbon footprint. This work is intended to begin a dialogue, how will you continue the conversation?
